Than the orange DISC? The non-C-lect bolt is "worth it," as to the rest-- a matter of opinion.

Speaking from my experience.

The bolt on the extreme disc leaves a much larger opening when the bolt is closed which releases much more blowback on you, rifle, and scope.

The original disc works better for two reasons. With the flatter surface of the original disc it is easier to press in 209 primmers. Also the bolt on the original disc rifle closes down on the disc tab doing a better job of keeping blowback contained.

The extreme disc may have a better water seal. But when it rains so hard that it is the equivilent of submerging my rifle under water I will be watching football.

You can still upgrade your bolt to the no-c-tool system and retain your original disc bolt system. Knight offered to sell me the new striker assembly for $49.95. I passed. I keep my c-tool with my hex wrench and breech plug tool. If I loose one I loose them all.

thanks for the reply.do you have to use a tool to insert the red disc or do you just drop it in and close. would the red disc be more waterproof?
looks like I should stick with the orange one
