Looks like the Weigand is short enough, but requires drill & tap.  Not being smart, but just thinking, most people going for a 4" are probably more defensive short range oriented, so sights are fine typically.  Whereas the 6" is long enough to extend range enough to make a scope more necessary.  Here's a link to the Weigand anyway.  8)

thanks for the reply, my 4" is a custom built revolver that can put 6 in a 4" circle @ 35 yrds.
way better than i can see...thats why i'm wanting to glass it.
i seen the bases from them for a 6"  and have a email request in to them to see if they can build me
one for the 4". drill & tap is not a problem. i have done several handguns that i have.
thank you very much... ;)

Very nice.  8)  I have been looking at that model or the SP101 for my wife.  I'm sure the factory models don't shoot quite that good though.  ;)

the sp-101 don't have adj sights.... and thats what put me to the gp....
i'm glad i did that and did the extra $$ and head bang'n to get it to shoot like it does.
it took a while to find a 180gr hunting load to be that accurate. its slow, but its under and around the
ladder stand accurate out to 25-30 yrds.  i just need eye transplants !!!! ;)
my son can light a match with it !!! :o    i'm well pleased.
thanks

I have a weigand on mine and it doesn't require the drilling and tapping.Mine is a 6'' though,it works well and you can find them online just type in weigand scope mounts.

hey thanks !!!! ;D
i've seen them and they are a great base for the 6"
i tried one on my 4".....and its has nothing for the base to lock to towards the muzzle end.
i made a request to weigand online, if they ever make one for the 4" to let me know. they said if
10 requests would be made, we would be happy to make them for the 4"...
so maybe one day !!! ;D
thanks for the reply

I wish I had taken pictures back then but.....  When I used to shoot a GP-100 for Action Pistol we milled a scope mount from a blank and drilled and tapped the topstrap.  It worked amazing!  I think I ordered the mount blank from Brownell's, something like a 9" blank and cut it down.  I shot that gun for a couple of years before building up a S&W.  If you know someone with an end mill it might be worth looking into.
Which lie got to you so that you refuse Him???
