factory 30-30 barrel accuracy

HI, new guy here and long time contender shooter(7-30 waters) wondering how accurate new factory 30-30 barrels are. I just bought one and I'm having mixed results. 125BT won't shoot better than 4in. at 100yrd. but hornady 130gr sp shoot about 1-1.5 in. Somtimes the group height seems to vary from one shooting session to another. Just wondering what I can expect from factory
barrel. My 7-30 is from foxridge and shoots great.

I think with good load development most any barrel can be made to shoot 1''  or under at 100yds. Sometimes it is a long road finding the load combination some barrels need to shoot well others sometimes likes most anything you put in it. Also consistency with forearm placement, hand position and hand pressure play a big part in the equation. Your group height changing could be caused by this if shooting the same load when experiencing this.

mine will shoot most everything 1-2in at 100 yards as long as it does not say winchester. the 125bt you are talking about will almost touch bullet holes at 100yds.

All ive shot im my 30-30 is 150gn factory and when I do my part 1'' to 1.5''prity regular.
I cant wait til I start loading for it.

On Rest.. My 10" 30-30 Scoped will hold -1MOA @ 100 yds. with factory 150G Leverolution.
