RangeRider: I agree with what you said, but only as a contribuiting factor. The Trade Unions were telling their people to vote for Obama, and the members did as they were told. Also the poor uninformed illiterates who were told Obama would see they had the money to imporve their lives. And these people believed it. I remember the day after the election seeing several women on the news saying "I'm so glad, now my rent will be paid, and I won't have to worry about where it is coming from". I keep wondering about those women, was their rent paid, or did they get evicted? And so many in the Black Community voted for him simply because he was Black, they did not care about his qualifications. Over half the people in this nation did not care about his qualifications either.
The problem with the Republicans is they are so diverse. Some are ultra religious, and take it to a fanitical degree. Then there are the conservatives that are not so religious and are turned off by the fanatics. Then you have those that are non-believers, but they know the right is going to do the best things for the country, and they do not like the liberals. But the ultras keep alienating them. We need those people, and they are very tollerant to a point. But shen republicans start throwing religion into the equation we loose them.
We have some good people that are qualified to run, but so many keep leting religion get in the way of supporting them. I'll use Mitt Romney as an example. Mitt Romney is a Morman, and I keep hearing people say they will never vote for him simply because he is a Morman. We need to learn how to come togeather like the Democrates or we will forever be loosing.
