Finally sucess in the PA woods last night. Had a doe sneek in on me last night not 10 minutes after I got set up in an old horse stable on the ground. Shee came around the end of the stable where I had just walked in from and stopped a whole 7 yards from me and looked right at me. Well since I had a doe tag, I let the lead fly. Yep, shot her right in the face. Well although it was a little messy, there was no tracking job and no meat ruined. Sure glad I put the time in at the range worring about minute of angle at 100 yards
. She should be good eating. Nice little plump doe.
Funny thing though, she smelled bad! By bad I mean musty like she was in heat. After talking with another hunter I think it is time for the so called "second rut". She certanily smelled like it anyway.
