AR stock sets

Has anyone had any expierience with these?   I was wondering about fit and functionality?  It seems like an option for a weapon that will be used by various LOP users.  Any opinions would be welcome.

Handy on say a 22Hornet but suck on a 45/70

If your asking about the adjustable models... Personally I would NEVER use one.

But would not recomend that one be used on anything with any recoil more than a .223.

A while back there was a poor fellow with some pictures of what was left of his face when the stock collapsed under recoil. Gruesome is a word that comes to mind...

As said, stout recoil and adjustable stocks on scoped firearms aren't a good combination.  :-\

I have one and it's on a .22 rimfire. I won't put it on any hard kicking gun. Someone just within the last couple of days asked about stocks for his 10 guage and mentioned the ATI collapaible AR type stock!!! I posted that it was not a wise thing to do....<><....:)

I think Ill stick too the solid stocks.  Im ugly enough as it is.  Thanks everyone.

Amen on them being junk, Spanky.  I don't even like them on an AR-15.  My AR's all wear the A-2 stocks.  I can't imagine what the 500 would do to one of them.  It knocked the crosshairs out of a Simmons 3X9 in 3 shots, don't think the ATI 6 position would fare too well.  I'd wind up wearing it as a hood ornament.

I have one on my hornet shorty, I love it.  That being said, I agree anything more than a .223 or similar recoil would NOT be a good idea.

They have improved since I bought (and sold) the first one I had, so maybe not junk, but not what i would consider the highest of quality either.

If you want a pistol grip, go with the survivor, or the varmint stocks, maybe a thumbhole laminate.
