BC Carbine

Has anyone tried the Leverevolution in 45 Colt? If so what was your initial sight-in range? If sighted in at 25 yards, where should it hit at 100 yards?

Try this ballistics calculator - http://www.handloads.com/calc/

I plugged in the data for the Hornady Leverevolution, 950 fps at the muzzle, BC of .140 and sight in at 25 yards and it came up with 14.46 inches low at 100 yards. Definitely a rainbow trajectory. The muzzle velocity should be a little higher out of the Carbine due to barrel length so that will help a little bit, you'd have to try it in the real world to see. I never got a chance to try the LE ammo in my BC carbine but it is pretty accurate in my 10" Contender.

You'd have to swage it down from .458 to .451. I don't think it will work.
Not to mention not much powder room if you did.

Kinda depends on the actual groove dia. of your barrel. I dont know how the .45C H&R barrels are running on this, there used to be quite a variation in Colt's barrels, some at .454ish.
Now, sizing down a .459 to .454 will be stiff if you use anything harder than wheelweights to cast, and dont water quench them!
Short answer is 'maybe'. Either way, if you want to spend the money on that sizer die and, if needed' nose punch (dont know how you are sizing) it should be the right one for CAST bullets (not the jacketed bullet 'std' dia.) in your bore, that would be groove dia. at min.
FWIW, buy a LEE double cavity .45C mould to start with. Cast of WWt metal, pan lube, load and try as cast, no sizing.
