If it's available and you need it, buy it. I saw some this week for about $13.oo per box. I didn't buy any, but if I had needed some I would have paid the price. It will only go up.

Been looking for Maxi mags, but none around here. 22wmr is still really scarce.

Check with MidSouth Shooter's Supply, then Sportsman's Guide, then Natchez Shooters Supply. I believe I have seen 22WMR advertised by all three. HTH.

Don't know where you live Foxxtrot but in the current market I don't think things will get much better very soon. Fortunally I have enough to ride it out on everything I shoot. I did add a new caliber for christmas so had to bite the bullet and pay the price.
Actually I've have been selling some surplus I have and made a few dollars there. Calibers I'm not going to use anymore.
It all evens out in the end.
Regards,

I can get Winchester Dynapoints at WalMart for $7.77 a box and everything else goes up from there! Luckily, my NEF in .22WMR likes Winchester and shoots them well enough so that I can use them for close range and plinking.

I have not noticed much of an improvement in ammo availability.
Most is still scarce around here and the guy at the gunshop said
the order he just placed cost him 40% more than his last order.
Not sure what else is happening now.

I shoot Fiocchi .22 mag. Less that $8 a box and shoot good in my Taurus revolver and Rossi pump.

I also shoot Fiocchi,
Costs me 9 bucks a box with shipping, if I buy 500.
I have about 12 or so handguns that are either 22 mag, or 22lr / mag convertible, and the Fiocchi works well in the revolvers, and the automatics!

I shoot Fiocchi .22 mag. also & find it accurate. I've never clocked it but I read ballistics a while back & the stuff is not as fast as just about anything else, same bullet weight. This has not been an issue with me, it's just "slow".

Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see? That needs to be US!
