Mossberg Silver Reserve OU

Does anyone have a Silver Reserve OU? I have a 28 gauge model that doubles when shooting field loads. This is the second gun I have had. Mossberg "fixed" the first on twice before sending me a new gun, now this one does the same thing.

I talked a friend into getting one based solely on looks and feel. His was a 20 ga. and like yours doubled most of the time. He took it back to the dealer he got it from and traded it on a CZ Huglu gun which he has been happy with.

I've not owned one myself but from that experience and what I've read on them I think there must be a basic flaw in the design on them. I'd never own one personally because I think all I've read of anyone owning has doubled on them.

Both the Mossy Silver Reserves, and the Savage/Stevens Gold Wings, are made in and imported from Turkey - although not the Huglu plant/company.

As pretty as it was, I returned my .410 Stevens Gold Wing for a full store credit soon after purchase (new), due to soft internal parts galling within very few shots (less than 25).
