I also have a Fastfire mounted on a light 44 mag carbine and like it alot.
Due to there locking adjustments for windage and elevation I would think this type of red dot to be best for heavy recoil.
They are built to withstand recoil from the heaviest handguns and with there light weight ( less than 2 OZ. ) the fastfire is a very solid sight.
