Red dot for big bore ?

IS there a redot tough enough for the big bore like the 460 wby ? i figured it probably would brake a fastfire . i was wondering about these

i really like the looks and price of a burris fastfire. i mean it can stand up to the recoil of 3.5 12 ga mag which is around 70 ft lbs but i dont know if the accubrake works like advertised . only things i really know are things i find out myself

i really like the trijicon acog i just emailed them and asked if it can withstand the 460 wby recoil . and if i could still get the acogs with bible verses at serail number .i like the amber cheveron

From Wat I've been reading a ultradot will do anything maybe more than the 400+$ reddots.

A red dot would be Awsome for a Dangerious game rifle, I though about putten on on my ruger #1 500 A-square but it looks like a guy needs weaver bases to mount one. How about a Halo sight???

I put my Fastfire II on my Encore Katadin 45/70 (very light rifle) and sighted in with some right stiff loads. Worked very well and seems to be holding up. Looking forward to poking a whitetail with it in Nov. in VA.

  I also have a Fastfire mounted on a light 44 mag carbine and like it alot.
Due to there locking adjustments for windage and elevation I would think this type of red dot to be best for heavy recoil.
They are built to withstand recoil from the heaviest handguns and with there light weight ( less than 2 OZ. ) the fastfire is a very solid sight.

Sometime soon I'm going to put a FastfireII on my Ruger #1 rechambered to 450 Nitro Express. I have no doubt that it'll work fine. Afterall if it'll stand up to the fast slapping of a semi-auto handgun it'll work fine for the push of a rifle.
 I'm sure that it'd even stand up to my 600 Nitro IF I could figure out a way to attach it w/o drilling holes. Duct Tape? ;)

Have a fast fire mounted on a 45 acp slide - about 1000 rounds, no problems.  Think I read they are rated at 1000 G's.  Ultradots are good as well, the one on my Redhawk has been there for thousands of heavy loads, no problems.  The cream of the crop would be Aimpoint, expensive, but if you have a 460 Wby, you should be able to afford it.... :)

At that recoil level only a Trijicon or Aimpoint would likely survive.

I suggest a Micro model. Yes they are exspensive, but they are worth every penny.......

i once watched a you tube video where two guys from aimpoint were shooting on a parking lot. they would take there aimpoints off there ars and bounce them back and forth accross the pavement and put them back on there guns and they held zero. I wonder how many of the cheaper sights that everyone claims are just as good could take that kind of punishment!! They repeated it 3 times and alothough the units were looking pretty beat up they still functioned perfectly and held zero! the other cool thing about them that none of the others come close to is battery life. Ive got comp 2s that have been left on for 2 years with the same batterys and comp 3s and comp 4s will double and tripple that. Piece of mind in the hunting field when you know you dont have to turn off and on an optic and you ABSOULTELY know that the batterys arent going to let you down. IMO its one thing that truely fits the saying "you get what you pay for"
