Hammer Extender For T/C Triumph ?
« on: December 08, 2010, 02:33:33 AM »
I am considering  buying a T/C Triumph, which I will be putting a scope on. I was wondering if a hammer extender is available to fit a Triumph. I did not see one offered in the T/C catalog, and none are offered at Cabela's, Midsouth, and Midway. I did see a  "universal" extender, the Carlson Ambidextrous Hammer Expander. maybe this fits the Triumph ?

There is none for the standard Triumph, the Bone Collector has one standard, but they also reduced the spring pressure on that so the extra weight didn't hit too hard. Call T/C, but I am sure they don't recommend adding one to the standard Triumph. You can feel the difference in the hammer spring, if you cock each one sid-by-side.

The one b44mag has was probably printed/packaged before the Triumph came out.

If you want the hammer extension on the Triumph, the Bone Collector is the only option I am aware of.

Why do you feel the need for an extender on a Triumph?
With the proper setup on scope mounts I see no need for one.
I have owned one for 3 years and have no problems with the hammer.
In fact it is probably the easiest ML to cock TC sells IMO.

Reason I ask about a hammer extender is that on my scoped Encore, and my scoped rifles with exposed hammers, I use a hammer extender. For me, on these, it makes cocking much easier, especially with gloves in cold weather. I have cocked a Triumph at the local gun store, (Have not bought it yet)  and the hammer does pull back easily.  I plan on using a Leupold QR base, and medium rings, with a Nikon Omega 3X9X40 scope. Hopefully there will be enough room from the scope to get my thumb in comfortably.
