"plain" Walnut
« on: December 14, 2003, 02:11:47 PM »
Not to sound dumb, but what does it mean when a vendor says they are selling "plain" walnut?  Does it mean you won't see any grain or what?

Thanks.

Just a guess........I would assume "plain walnut" would mean "not fancy wood" as in quality of grain contrast.  Also, "plain" could be taken as with no other additives, as in checkering.  Ask for some clearification if you're ordering.
