AR-15 barrel swap?

Has anyone done a barrel swap on an AR-15? 

I've read a few descriptions and seen a few vids, is it really as easy as it looks? 

I've re-barreled a number of Savages, it looks like a similar process, with obvious platform differences. 

Anyone personally done this?  Any tips or words of caution?

be careful. use all the appropriate supports etc.   go slow.
