30-30 leverevolutions in win 94 angle eject rifle

Has anyone tried 30-30 leverevolution ammo in win 94 angle eject if so how did it shoot and was it effective on deer?  Also what type sights do you have on this rifle or do you prefer scope?

I would guess there would be no problem with ejection, they shoot very well out of my 336, they will kill a deer if you do your part, and I prefer a peep sight on my 30-30.

Ive shot several deer with a 94AE.No problems with loading or cycling.As for the deer,they didnt know what hit them.True,all my shots have been under 100 yards thus far.The old Rem CoreLokt 150  killed them just as dead.Im using a 3x9 scope.Eyes arent what they used to be.

I have used the Leverevolution ammo in both my angle eject and top eject winchesters. They shoot pretty good for out of a box ammo. I did drop a 3 point buck 2 years ago in his tracks. The shot was around 80 yards give or take. The Bullet held together fairly well as I dug it out of the oposite shoulder just under the hide.  However I have not found a round in the 150-170 grain class 30-30 that wouldnt drop a deer given a good shot. I cannot comment on there claims of extra range, most anything I shoot at is less then 100 yards. My prefered round is a 170 grain Nosler partition loaded to book max. That round has brought home many mule deer and a few elk.

thanks they shoot real good in all marlins I have tried in like 30-30 and 35 rem so I mounted scope on winchester and will try when snow slows down.  thanks

I have had great accuracy with the leverevolution bullets, in my handloads, with both the 30-30 and my 45-70.   It is my bullet of choice for both of those calibers.   I just wish Hornady would make it in .375 so I could try it in my 38-55.   My neighbor shot a nice doe at about 85 yards, using my donated 30-30 reloads, last month.   One shot and down she went.    I am still awaiting my opportunity of trying them on live game.   Great bullet for a lever gun.

 I'd use them with a scoped rifle, as bad as my eyes are now I think the added range these provide would be wasted with a receiver sight only.  I can still shoot minute of deer to 150 yards, can't see Leverevolutions being much help at that range.

I've shot revolution out of my 94 top eject without problems. I found the kick severe compared to the win white box 150 grain I use. I really don't see the sense of the revolution. The 94 was built for hunting in heavy brush. I've been using the same 94 for over 50 years and only lost one deer.
