In NJ we can only use conni's when they are under water at high tide. We also have a 5" rule. So I use 120's and 160's. They hold coons and the tide does them in. I've had a few be able to keep themselves above water and still be in the trap. Never used anything bigger, they work fine for me

Last year we used only 220s. This year we are using only 160s because there are no restrictions on them. Every coon we have caught this year has been dead in the box. But half of the skunks and possums were still alive with the trap right behind the head. Anyone know why that is? Is it because they are smaller and the trap dont close tight enough on them to kill them?
