First off just wanna say I have try'd Brands other then Harris and well a Harris is the only brand that will go on my gun. Anyway my question for who ever wants to chime in is what style do you prefer a fixed bipod or the swivel bipod?  For doing your long range work.

Have several Harris bi-pods with swivel and fixed configuration.  With swivel you have to be concerned more with cant, but is better for use on uneven surfaces that aren't readily able to be leveled by other means than by use of the cant feature.

you can adjust and lock the legs in place on the harris bi pod for uneven ground but it takes a few minutes
i do not have a swivel base on any of mine it would be a new feature tho.

I have two Harris bipods one swivel and one fixed. I got the fixed in a pawn shop for a good price.  And after using it some I will not buy another one thats not swiveled.  Good lesson learn that wasn't to costly, glad I didn't pay new price to find out.
