Fedup with Fed-X

Shipped my AR15-22 off to S&W for repairs. Exactly 7 business days after I dropped it off it was back in town. Now it is still riding around in someones truck.

Web shows it arrived last Wednesday (Snowing Fed-X will not deliver due to bad weather) US-Mail and UPS but not Fed-X
Thursday Still Snowing US-Mail and UPS but not Fed-X
Friday I find a note on my door they attempted deliver at 4:00 pm and missed me. I call Fed-X and they tell me it will be re-delivered on Monday they close at 5:00pm.
Monday 5:00 pm no delivery I call Fed-X again and am told it was at the depot it will go out tomorrow but I can pick it up tonight if I want to. I drive from Gerogetown Ky to Lexington and the guy at Fed-X tells me. Well the Delivery guy still has it on his truck AT HIS HOUSE. He had today off he should get it to you tomorrow.

Sure hope it don't snow. Fed-X has had it longer than S&W.

If you used FedEx Ground I'm not surprised at all. Not to be confused with FedEx (air). Their Ground division is totally and completely different network. They use an outsource delivery model. Many of the final delivery & pickup trucks are just a cottage industry of small independently owned/operated local delivery companies. UPS uses a fully integrated ground & air network in the US. Near 100% UPS assets & employees.
