will the Colt Mustang Magazine work in the P238?

Hey guys! I have an oportunity to buy a Colt mustang magazine via mail order and was wondering if it would work in my Sig P238?

Found out the answer, they are the same magazine. Bought some at CDNN for $15 each.

I have a P238 and bought a Mustang mag for it.  It fits fine, but I always have 2 or 3 FTF out of the mag.  I have heard of others who have had no problems!   Worth trying for the price.

I bought a mustang mag from CTD for my 238 after seeing review that said it fit and worked in 238.  The one I got does not.  It fits but the front of the mag is not cut like factory and catches on the leading edge of the brass.  Also the follower is much sharper corner, not sure if that is issue or not yet.

I will modify mag with die grinder and stone to look like Sig factory mag.  If that doesn't fix all I may try modifying follower.  If that doesn't work I will throw in trash and consider myself better educated.

the local dealers here are selling them but they say the colt mag won't feed the last round................i don't know why,just what i hear from them

After modifying magazine body it fits and feeds fine, mostly.  The issue I have left is the final round will not extract with the mustang magazine.  It looks like the sharper angle and taller follower do not let the final round extract.  The shell hits the follower and the extractor looses its grip.  At the same time the shell hits the follower it must push it down some as the slide stop also does not catch.

Mine works with the two mustang six shot and the one seven shot 380 government magazines that I own.
