375 Winchester

I have just picked up a 375 Winchester barrel for my T/C Contender and want to cast bullets for it. Has anyone here done that and what are you using for design, weight and mold?

Try the Lyman #375449 in the Contender

Watch out for bullet designs that can possibly detonate the primer of the cartridge in front of them while they are in the magazine of lever action guns!!!But I think this may be what you might want,it weighs 250 grains or thereabouts and performs well.Even Elmer Keith tried this one in a .375 H&H rifle,he did get good groups by the way!Take care, and Merry CHRISTmas,Jeff.

Hey Grover

I had the same questions, so I called John at Western Bullets http://missoula.bigsky.net/western/cbip/cbip.html

He was a great help and I ordered a few hundred bullets to test.  I saved both time and money (lead, new moulds...ok several new moulds)

Might I suggest you order the different types of bullets that interest you, test them out, then order the mould that works?
Thanks!
Bob
