Winchester 290 and weaver v22
« on: June 27, 2004, 05:58:57 AM »
Hey everyone, I'm a new guy. This would be my first post. I am borrowing a friends Win 290, it's a .22 autoloader. I need to give it a good cleaning, the owner knows nothing about it. I need to know how to disassemble it and whatever else that is required to clean it. He has a Weaver v22 scope on it, do you guys know anything about these?I need all the info I can get I have no experience with these guns. I ordered an owners manual, but I doubt it's going to get sent cause it's an obsolete firearm. If you know anything please let me know. I really appreciate it.

I just posted in reply to another Win m190 inquiry. J. B. Wood's " Sporting Rifle Take Down and Reassembly Guide" from DBI books is invaluable for  any maintenance on many rifles.
