375-400 grain LFN or WFN for a 510 GNR revolver is this doable?

I would like a mold for a 375-400 grain LFN or WFN for a 510 GNR revolver is this doable?  What would you recommend?

  375 to 400 gr bullets are lightweights for both 475 and 500 revolvers, and quite frankly the most popular weghts.  After all, they are heavy for any other caliber, so they are NOT lightweights for one hand guns and are deadly on any north american game.

  I would recommend the LFN profile, but sell a high percentage of WFN's so it's your call on which nose you prefer.  If you don't want to take them to the limit of power, and will be using LBT lube, a plainbase is fine.

  If you look a bit closer, I didn't recommend a WLN and definately wouldn't recommend it.   I recommended the LFN, which has a very adaquate meplat for rapid kills when it's on a 50 caliber bullet, even with fairly slow velocities.  The WFN, if driven to full power splashes too large a wound for consistenly quick kills.   A bit of number crunching with my Displacement Velocity (DV) formula will show this.

This interesting and thank you for your reply!  May I assume that it is preferreble to use LFN rather than WFN in the larger bore diameters??  I have a 480 ruger and would like to load a 350-400 grain hard cast at 1150-1200 fps for hogs or blackbears at under 50/75 yards and just assumed the WFN would be optimum for rapid kills.  Or rather, when might one profile be more adventageous over the other???

  Desired velocity level can alter my recommendation dramatically!   Get a WFN for speeds under maybe 1100 fps.  Key here is to get the meplat that delivers a displacement not over 135 at maximum velocity desired, but at least 100 with the lower velocities desired.    Calculate DV by dividing meplat diameter, measured in thousandths of an inch, by 4, then multiplying by various speeds. 

  Here is how a .500 WFN calculates.   (The WFN meplat is .090 smaller than body diamater, in all calibers)  So meplat diameter of a .5 is  .41 divided by 4 = .0102 times 1100 = 112.   A quickly deadly DV.    An LFN has to be trucking along quite a bit more promptly to reach that DV.  (The LFN has a meplat diameter .125 smaller than body diameter.)
