Whats the difference in these Recievers?
« on: January 09, 2011, 01:56:45 PM »
Whats the difference in these 2 recievers, The top one has an extra pin it and is made in Illion NY. The bottom has a nicer finish and a nice trigger pull of a tad under 3 lbs. Just wondering what the extra pin in the top one is..

I think that is an inspection for plug on the top receiver so you can view the latch/latch shelf engagement.  I believe there is info in the FAQs on how to remove that plug.  The plugs have been installed by H&R for the last few years.

It is an enspection port as BB said. Trigger pull varies from one to the next. If you show a pict of the butt stock end we will be able to tell if they are SB2 or SB1. FAQ has a load of info and tips ;)
