30-30 hornady ammo in contender 14"

What kind of accuracy are u getting with hornady leverelolution ammo in 14" contender?  How is performance on deer?  thanks

moderate recoil, fair size muzzle flash, mine shoots it in the 2'' range at 100 yds. killed my first pistol deer with this rd. shot him while he was feeding at the base of his neck.  between the shoulder blades at about 25yds.bullet mushroomed perfect. drt ;D. since then i went to a 125 bt. alot less recoil

My friend used in his marlin and it works well.  He has killed 3 in their tracks at 150 yards.  He shot them high shoulder.  I think it will work well in my contender.  Hornady said should be only be 200 less fps.  His marlin is only 22 inch barrel.  thanks

I got to the range and the leverevolutions shoot 1-2" groups at 100 yards.  With my ported barrel you can really feel muzzle blast but doesnt kick any worse than my 44 mag.  I will use these till I get reloads worked up.
