Went out last night for a couple of stands about an hour after dark set in. First stand was a bust, but the second stand did produce a dog. He came slippin' down an abandoned rail road bed as we were calling the open field. He sat there for a minute looking at us trying to figure out what the hec we were. Didn't get a shot oppotunity...the dog was behind some brush. Where is a shotty when you need one?
LOL. He was quite cagey and didnt stick around long enough or really clear the brush to present a shot. I love hunting nite yotes during the New Moon phase. It has been
by far my most productive time to chase the dogs at nite. Wish I didnt have to work today or I would have made ALOT more stands. The conditions were right...New Moon, front moving in, and the wind was decent (5-10MPH).
