removing barrel from an H&R USHD?

Is there a "trick" to removing the forestock and then dismounting the barrel on a USHD?

Remove the forend screw of course, then pull the muzzle end of the forend away from the barrel, sometimes they're on pretty tight, might take some muscle, sometimes it will take a wood block against the forend and a tap or two with a hammer. Then remove the spacer and flat sand the spacer so the forend doesn't fit so tight when you reinstall the forend!   ;D

Tim,
Thanks, amigo.  I'll pass this along to my "friend" out in the netherworld.  This is basically what I told him and he told me he can't get the fore stock to move.
