What kinda thief am I??
« on: January 29, 2011, 04:19:31 AM »
I picked up a Handi .223 pallet wood with a Bushnell 4x12 and plastic hard case for ......$175!!  last weekend...  I couldn't believe it.  It was absolutely in new condition minus the box.  The fellow is a LEO and said he bought it about 10 years ago and just don't shoot it.  I'll take care of that problem.  It's a 1-12 twist so it'll be my "big" varmint rifle...my lit'lin is a Hornet.  I've heard about deals like this, but I never was able to wrangle one for myself.

That LEO didn't lock you up for stealing that thing ???  ???  It's hard to believe an officer would let go of a .223......much less, not use it.  Thinking about it, they're more involved with firepower.  More rounds per minute, and how much magazine capacity.  They need to get back to the principle of one aimed shot.

Thinking of that, our snipers can take an insurgent out at a mile.....but ya know, that guy has a wife and kids at home too.  The whole damned thing is just stupid.  Human beings need to sit down and talk....work it out......not kill each other.

That is a good deal, and I know the feeling.

I passed up a good deal on Handi in the past and mainly I just didn't know any better and wasn't very well versed in Handimania back then, but I found a good deal last week and jumped on it with both feet.

I'm having a blast with my new little CC45LC and have started working up loads for it, and it's a dream to shoot.

Trust me your .223 will be the same way and it will be happy it's found a loving home! ;D
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

If illiteracy, poverty, hunger and STUPIDITY were eliminated, we would be talking literature, rice, beans, mathematics, science, and Art here instead of guns and ammunition.

I'll always hunt and shoot regarless of what the rest of the world is doing........I'll be right here talking about guns.  Mine aren't defensive or offensive.  They're not meant for humans.  They're here for fun and recreation and to put some meat in the freezer.

Congrats on the "steal" or find I shoudl say. I got a fair price on one from my father in-law last weekend, as we have been helping my mother in-law out a lot while he was in the hospital, and he told her to give my wife the money back for the rifle. She was not having it one bit. You have to know her mother, but I think this hospitlization really changed her father. He was given a second chance at life, and is doing well I am happy to say. Either way, we are both happy on the deal, and if he ever wants to use it, he knows where it's at.

Were you wearing a mask at the time and pointing a firearm in his general direction to seal the deal? If not, then you just made a deal none of us would have passed up ethier. However, if you were doing the former, I'd hide if I were you.;D
