I'am starting a build up of T/C Contender carbine in 17 Ackley Bee , I've already have a 218 Bee in contender a 15 " barrel , Win 43, and a Marlin lever, so i've got plenty of 218 brass, I looking at what barrel length? from 18 - 23 inch and what barrel maker ? Already have a Redding 3 die set in 17 Ackley Bee.Thanks steelhorse814

The sweet spot for the small to mid 17's on a Contender seems to be around 20". That's what all of mine were (made by Bullberry and SSK) - 17HMR, 17 Squirrel, 17 Ackley Hornet, 17 Ackley Bee, 17 HeBee, 17 Jet, 17 PeeWee, 17 MachIV.
