I saw this little 50 cal sidelock riflle at wally world the other day for 60 bucks called a bobcat
Any one out there got one of these things ?
If so , how do they shoot ?
What is the rate of twist on the rifling ??
Kind of hard to pass up

Here is what CVA's site says about the Bobcat.
Specifications:
- .50 or .54 Caliber
- 26" blued barrel length/ 42"    overall length
- 1:48" rifling twist
- Hardwood or Synthetic stock
- 6 lbs. total weight
- Adjustable sights included

My son has a Youth Hunter model which is a shortened Bobcat and it shoots great.

I used to have one.65gr of goexff for .490 round ball and 100gr of goexff and a hornady great plains conical in 385gr.Both would shoot about the same place.
They have fixed sights and it shot 8 inches low at 25 yards. Some filing of the front sight fixed it up.
Never was too crazy about the plastic stock, but it was accurate.
The gun is light and with the conical load to say it had a good kick would be an understatement. :)
