I got back about 4 hours ago from Coeur D Alene Idaho, and after cleanin up I went to see Roger. He is at the door. I stayed and talked to his wife and son for about 2 1/2 hours in his room. He would occasionally wake up and listen. When I was ready to leave he tried to talk but couldn't and motioned for water. When he got his mouth wet, all he could say was: "See ya around". I told him, that I expected he would, told him I loved him and left.
His eyes are taking a set if some of you know what I mean, and the reaper is at the door I think. No pain, and that is good. I think it will not be long, thanks to a Merciful God.
I will miss him for sure. He is blunt, and to the point like myself, and we never tried to second guess each other. We always say what we mean, and we never misunderstood each other. It is truly rare to find men like him. His word had the bark on it.
