i need a light load for my son will this work ok harvester sabot a 430 dia 245 keith cast 60/75 gr of power would i need to lube the cast bullets if im using a sabot? what would you use

I would not lube the bullet, make sure you have a good fit between the bullet and the sabot, if you have to force it home use a different bullet. Just curious why not work up the load with say a hornady 240gr XTP and harvester sabots? Harvester has em, about $11 for a 20 pack.

well i can get 50 pcs harvester sabots $9. and i have a  mold and lead to cast bullets for a 44 mag
im not sher if the xtp would expand ok at that low speed

I get you on the economics...cant go against that. But to respond to your second point I have used the xtp with loads varying from 80gr-110gr and always had good success with them opening.

But if ya already have the equipment to cast I would say no to the lube between the bullet and the sabot. ( sure you know not to lube the sabots ). Heck once you get the load on paper shoot some groups of both and see if there is any difference. Good excuse for some extra range time and you could school all of us on it.
