Looking for sounds
« on: December 11, 2010, 12:18:59 PM »
Looking for sounds.  A couple of years ago someone here gave me a web site to download sounds for calling.  I downloaded them onto an MP3 player, and have been using them with a Cass Creek Big Horn speaker.  I had put the site in my favorites so I would be able to find it anytime I needed it.  This summer lost the Mother Board on computer and all info.  Then MP3 went south.  Have been searching but unable to locate sound location.  Any help sure would be appreciated.  I need sounds for Wolves, and Baby Bears.  Going to put the sounds on a CD this time.  Rog

Thanks guys, those are the two that I was looking for.  Already copied them onto a CD, and a new (easier to use) MP3 player.  Going out Tuesday to try and do some calling.

sorry to dig up an old thread, but I kinda liked this idea and was wondering where to get a megaphone for such use.  Also just because you lost your mobo on your pc doesn't neccesarly mean you lost all your information,  I'm guess by now you don't have the old parts, but you could probably have recoved and kept using your old hard drive.

If u mean the megaphone, Radio Shack has a basic powerhorn and an amp to help the volume situation.  You can plug just about anything into the amp, like a Johnny Stewart style caller or an MP3 player, as it has a simple headphone-style jack.  A 9-volt battery powers the amp, and it has its own on/off switch and volume dial.  They work pretty well with my MP3 setup.  Now if I could just get a few more 'yotes to come runnin'.... ;D
