Interesting topic but it cannot be discussed in this section.  The rules, as they are applied in this section, say that only positive comments are allowed.  If you would like to hear both sides of the issue I suggest moving the topic to the Hunting and Shooting General Discussion section.

Where did you come up with that?? I read the disclaimer, and also what Graybeard wrote.  They said it was OK to have discussion as long as it did not turn into crossbow bashing..

Cottonwood, I use a recurve bow, compound bow, and a crossbow. I see them all in the same light.. The all have the same mechanical principles, and wish others would accept them as such as well.. Good article by the way!

A past debate on this same topic led to the interpretation of the rule being that anyone discussing xbows in anyway other than a fantastic glowing recommendation of their inclusion in all seasons constitutes, "bashing".

I guess you can have the discussion but you can only have one side of it.

"Crossbows vs. archery" is an oxymoron.  Crossbows are archery.
