Chinese 7.62X39 sporter
« on: April 07, 2011, 07:44:25 AM »
Just purchased this rifle from an individual who had no info on it (had belonged to his father who had passed away). Very nice rifle, well made, 5 shot flush mounted detachable mag.,shoots well with the Russian HP ammo.  Barrel marked with EM331 7.62X39.  Receiver ring marked  with what appears to be a mt. with 2 peaks and some Chinese writing, side of action marked with made in China and Jing An. Have never seen these for sale or advertized anywhere. Anyone have any info, owned one, shot one, who sold them, what they sold for, etc.
Thanks, H08

Hard to tell from the pics what kind of rifle you have. The Chinese have copied nearly every successful rifle made.. From your description it sounds like a copy of the CZ 527 (Bruno, Fox). The safety on the CZ's is a horizontal lever much like the M70 Winchester except fire position is to the rear. The Chinese rifles (some anyway) seem to shoot quite well. I doubt the stock is as originally prodeced.. Likely someone upgraded it for cosmetic reasons..  Should make a nice deer rifle..

While this is a pre owned gun, it's in new condition and was bought new and never fired by previous owner.  It's not a copy of anything I've ever seen . It does have a 3 position safety on back end of bolt. Straight up is fire, turned left is safe but bolt will open, turned right is safe but bolt is locked.  The stock is the factory stock, made out of that same wood the Chinese use for just about all their guns but with a "browning" high polish finish and stippling instead of checkering. Hoping someone has some info.

perhaps some close up photoes of the action or even better the action with the stock removed! Give us both sides and top/bottom views as well. The safety sounds suspiciously like the Bruno.
