Left handed lock question.

In my quest to purchase left handed muzzle loaders I now have three. Two TC Renegades one in 50 and one in 54 and a Cabelas Hawken 50. Thinking that it might be a good idea to purchase parts if I see them I purchased another left handed TC lock from a online auction site. This was advertised as for a Renegade and drops right in with no problem. What is different is there is no engraving or decoration on the lock plate or hammer as usual just a case hardened finish. This does not bother me and I knew that when I purchased it. I am wondering if anyone would know why there is no decoration on this lock? Really just curious is all. Thanks!

My best guess would be that it is an Italian lock made for Lyman or Cabelas by Investarms. They are a very close copy of the T/C and the lock is just one of many parts which will interchange between those rifles and T/C's.

I have a lefty Cabelas made by Investarms. The size of the locks are different. Looking at the back of the lock and a lock from one of my lefty TC Renegades they are identical in construction. Same from the front with the lack of decoration being the only difference I can see. Both are a drop into the Renegade stock.
