XD-9 subcompact vs. XDM 9 compact

I like the extra features of what the xd(m) line has, but is it really worth trading out my XD-9 Sub for an XDM-9 compact?  I didn't see a Springfield forum, thus I'm posting here.  Am I merely spliting hairs?

I get along just fine with my standard XD's.  The new M are nice but for the dollars I can do without the bells and whistles.

What we keep sayingis that smaller is easier to conceal---which is, of course, a myth.
Carry a good sized weapon with confidence that it can be soncealed and will do a better job of shooting accurately than sub-compact------well, even compacts.
