I found a flat top single six today with the serial number 123400........I had to buy it, but it is in pretty rough shape. It needs to be reblued or case colored. And I need to find the parts to return it to "four click". Any suggestions on who can do the refinnishing for me and where I can get the parts needed to convert back to "4 Click"?

No body can touch Ruger for the price on doing a good job of refinishing a Ruger gun. Dunno on the parts question.

Agree with Graybeard, send to Ruger for a refinish at a very reasonable cost. For internal parts, check Ebay. Also a good source of information is the Ruger Forum. Flatgate and Weaselmeatgravy and others there are ardent collectors and historians of Ruger. Incidently, only a centerfire three screw Ruger can be a "Flattop".

Flint, If it isn't a flat-top, what is it called. It has a simple sight set into a dovetail in the flat top strap. I'm just learning this Ruger SA stuff. Thanks.

The older model was a single-six. The later with adjustable sights and convertible is a Super Single-six. Basic difference is having either fixed sightsa or adjustable.

I found a 357 with short barrel that was not loved in a proper manner. I shipped it to Ruger and a week and about $35 later it came back. They could not remove a few of the "dings" and "pits", but it came back looking nearly new.

Ship it to Ruger.
