Went to a 50 acre walnut orchard on Highway 26. Not many squirrels were up. We "managed" 3 and missed 2. I was shooting a Savage in 17 Mach 2, Sam was using the TC in 17 HMR. I managed one at 35 yds. Sam's were from 75 to 120 yards.
Just a nice couple hours to spend with my Son.
We drove to another 50 acre orchard on Duncan Rd. I hadn't been there since last August. As part of my managing his squirrels the rancher gave roughly a cord of walnut wood for my efforts last fall. Didn't shoot but left my squirrel service card.
