Yep, both cost and effort is why I tossed the 7X30 on the list. In use a 309JDJ blows it out of the water (pun intended), especially with heavier bullets and bigger game, but it is a very good deer round that would be cheap to gear up to either as a pistol or cabine. Bet you might even find somebody here who will trade a 7X30 barrel for your 375JDJ barrel, but they'd need to sweeten the pot to be a fair trade. Ditto on the dies and supplies.
