Anyone loading for .22 hornet?  I was told Lil' gun was a good powder, but not sure which grain bullet to use.

i load IMR 4227 in mine and have also tried H110.  Both shot very well.

One thing I do different than most is I use a CCI magnum primer.  Most recommend a weaker primer for such a small round, but my groups are cut in half with those two powders if I use the magnum primer.

13 grains LilGun and either a 35 grain Vmax or a 34 grain midsouth varmint nightmare is as good as it gets.

I also have had very good luck with a max load of Lilgun and the 35gr v-max.

Agreed!!

I have been using 4198 and a Sierra 45gr bullet for many many years, with perfect satisfaction. BUT, I bought a can of lil gun and a box of the Hornady 35gr pills a couple years back. Just because of all the hootin about how well they shot. I finally shot some last month... WOW VERY impressed, under and inch at 100!
