Hello everyone,
I just acquired a Swedish M/94-14 Oberndorf Carbine today. Neither myself nor the seller had any idea what it was. I knew it was swedish due to the crown stamped all over the thing but the oberndorf confused me. I looked it up and it looks like I have a German/Swedish M94 made in 1895 pre 5,000 serial number rifle. Bad thing is that the stock was "polyeurethaned" by someone many years ago and the rear piece of the nosecap was cut off. All that remains of the nosecap is the front sight protector part and the front bayonet lug. The metal piece that runs back to the barrel band was cut off for some reason. I know these nosepieces are expensive and hard to find but I'd like to return this back to it's former glory...especially since I got the deal of the century on it. I'd also like to find a "correct" brass disk which it was missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
