When you get that rascal back, let me know. I have one of the S&W 8 shot 38 super competition revolvers. I especially like to shoot 9X23 in it and I use moon clips to shoot 9mm out of it. You might be able to get your moon clips from Clark's guns in LA.

Maybe we can do a range report on the two. Should be interesting. Know you will enjoy shooting the 38 super. By the way, since 38 super is semi-rimmed you can use the cartridges in my gun without a moon clip and all eject using the ejector rod and star extractor.

williamlayton,

I'm sure you will do so, but please let me know what you think of the pinnacle work.  I have a 625-6 mountain gun (45 LC) that I'm thinking of having cut for 45 ACP and moon clips.

Thanks - redleg

From all that I have heard the Moon clips give  geater assurance of ignition and Mark reccomends the use of them.
I like the moon clips anyway.
If they get the dagnabbed road paved I will be happy.
Should nt see the gun until August at earliest.
The Hen and I are gone for two weeks in July anyway. August/September should be fun around here for me----should have the road paved at the range, and I will get two of my guns back from the Smiths---then the 586 Goes to James for stripping of the Shake and bake on it and re-blueing.
