Around 1970, the executive vice president of TWA retired to Arkansas and built a new home overlooking Norfork Lake. During construction, he and his family stayed at a resort owned by my high school classmate's parents. After completion he invited me over for a tour. We entered his trophy room and I saw a football in a glass display case.
He took the cover off and handed me the ball. I noticed it had many signatures written all over it. He told me it was a football used in one of the Super Bowl games. It was probably Super Bowl I, II, or III, but I don't remember now. Since I wasn't a football fan it didn't mean a lot to me. When I've mentioned this story to my hard-core football friends, they said they wish they could have traded places with me. Now I wish I would have taken a photo of the ball when I had the chance.
