pawn shop 30-30 fixed to my liking
« on: February 03, 2011, 09:19:30 AM »
Gents,

Acquired this good condition 30-30 from a pawn shop at a decent price and have completed modifications to my liking:  straightened grip and narrowed forearm, stained dark walnut and finished with BLO, added Simmons 2.5 x 20 shotgun scope.  Accurate as it came during test firing but need good weather to get this sighted in.

Hope all have equal success and fun,

geoff

Looking good!  Wish those inexpensive Simmons scopes were still around.  They work great on a handi as you can mount them ahead of the hammer and stilll get their full field of view.

Nice, good work Goeff!  One of the Simmons 8-pt scopes just sold in the Optics classifieds here, it didn't last long, almost bought it myself!  :D
