I have a Tasco Pro class in 3X22 that I have mounted on a 45 Win mag, and have shot a couple hundred rounds thru it with no affect on the scope.  Don't know how it would hold up to the 454 though.

The Tasco Pro Class scopes were right at/near the top of the best ever made for the heaviest recoiling handcannons IMO, and whether they were fixed or variable power made no difference.    I used them for many years on Contenders and a couple of years on Encores that were chambered for cartridges WAY past a 454 Casull in both recoil and torque, some WAY WAY past, and never had a single failure.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
