www.marstar.ca/semi-mg/live-m2hb.htm

they also got 1919 .30's and MG34's and the best part is us canadians can own them. it might not fire full auto but imagine the looks that you would get taking that to the firing range!! once i'm working again i'm buying a 1911 .45 and an M-14 from these folks!!

We can own semi-auto machine guns here in the "US" too. In shotgun news they have a place called TNW Firearms on page 27 of the DEC 20 issue a MA DUCE(M2)  50cal is $5,995, an MG34 is $3,595 and a 1919 in 308 or 30-06 is $1,995  the MA DUCE is definitely a deer stopper with the 700+ grain bullets its definitely my dream gun of course belt fed full auto whiuch we can own here too.                                 BigBill

I had a Class 3 dealer who was buying Dewats and reactivating them into full auto registering them and paying the tax and it was all legal to do and he always told me how to do it of course I was never interested in doing it till now and he passed away three years ago boy I wished I payed attention to what he was telling me back then?

A few weeks ago I shot an M14 full auto my dealer had at the range and it was awesome and it was very hard to keep the barrel down(rise) I can understand why the army didn't like it.  From what I understand very few could handle the M14 in full auto.

i remember hearing somthing to the effect that when firing the 14 on full auto the first 3 shots would hit the target and then it became an anti-aircraft gun. the 1911 and the M-14 at marstar are actually norinco but i've heard good things about tyhere military arms and bad things about there sporting arms

I would be careful of the Chinese made M-14.

While I found the Chinese made SKS to be decent, I have heard, and read an article on the lack of heat treatment with the receivers on quite a few of the Chinese made M-14s (M1A).  Their Model 1911's seem good from what I have also heard, but be careful on the M14s.  There is a place where you can send your Chinese made M-14 to have the reciever properly heat treated, I don't remember the name.  As not all of them are defective in this regard, you might get lucky and get one properly made.

The one i shot was american made and your right about the anti-aircraft gun while I did hold it down for many rounds it did finally rise up as it burped but the fire power of 308 in that few seconds it just felt like WOW!!!  I wonder if you add a barrel weight if it would slow down the barrel rise on the M14? If I ever have a chance to try it again I'll try short bursts with it instead of steady full auto. I can't really pass a complete judgement with firing one magazine out of it.  Maybe some of the VETS here will chime in and give us their experiences with the M14??                       BigBill

only problem here in the great white north is no mags with a capacity higher the 5. it just don't look right with out a 20 round clip.
