I think some folks just like to protest everything. Some minorities protest even when nothing is said about them.

Having served in the military there were gays, people of other races, religions and political views. That didn't stop anyone from doing there job. I think if you can't work and get the job done without saying something stupid to someone maybe you shouldn't talk.

I am tired of the poor me attitude of certain groups. I know if I go someplace and don't like what is being said I leave.

I am a christian, I went to a christian marriage seminar, when the group leader started trying to get people to tell intimate details of thier marriage relationship I got up and left.
I didn't want to hear it or discuss what should have private.

I guess you could say I got alot of anti; I am anti- poor me life is so hard, anti- come bail me out of the mess I created again and again, anti- protest everything that comes along becuase I want to shout down every one that disagrees with me.

As of yet I am not anti-PowderMan but I am a watchin.

They are all over the south in malls and shopping centers. They always close on Sundays. They have very very good chicken sandwiches and coleslaw. They have cows on their TV commercials asking you to eat more chicken.

Fast food like Burger King or Taco Bell. Chicken is nothing special, but they are super clean. I eat there if I can't find a KFC.

All that means is it is safe to eat a Chick Fil A now with your family. Any Bible believing Christian knows that homosexuality is a sin. Why should we care who or what they boycott? They've tried to stuff the tolerance down our throat. I can't tolerate openly going against every way God told us to live.....Exit Only...It's not hard to understand!

Ok all is well again.

I really don't care if people protest whatever they want. If I feel the need to go somewhere I do, if I feel the need to purchase something I do.

What I don't like is greasy fast food. I eat at a few burger joints every now and then but greasy food is just nasty. There are no Chik a fils here but if there were I'd try it on general principal.

Wait, wait, wait. You said KFC was too greasy but you like *Churches*!?!?!?

Truth be told, when I do eat bone-in style chicken I'm a fan of Popeye's - Bojangles is a close second. KFC is a more distant third and Churches is WAYYYY done there. Not only is their chicken the greasiest (at least the ones I've been to), it's also cut "wrong"

These days though, my chicken outings have been more frequently of the "chicken wings/strips" type setup, where I like Zaxby's quite a bit. We also have 2 bar and grill chains around here - Wild Wing Cafe and The Kickin Chicken - that are both excellent.

The just opened two stores of another chain recently too - "Raising Cane's". Haven't given them a shot yet though. Matter of fact, I might do that after I knock off work

): "Churches", ironically enough, was up until very recently owned by a company called Arcapita - an Islamic venture capital group. That's why all pork products came off the menu in 2005.

HEH. It was in 97 we were there in Charleston. We were starved and I made a wrong turn and crossed over into Charleston. I made a turn accross the bridge and it went into a housing project. Saw 5 cops with guns drawn chasing some guys, windows went up quick. I found my way out of there fast and before crossing the bridge again saw the Churches chicken place. We were really hungry so we went in. It wasn't til after we sat down with our food that I noticed that we were the only white folks in the joint. Maybe we were just hungry, but it sure tasted good that day. POWDERMAN.

Yeah Charleston is an oddity. The historic district and downtown area where everyone likes to hang out is just a few short blocks from that area (that every city seems to have) where you just don't venture. Strangely enough right across the bridge is Mount Pleasant which completely changes from dangerous zone to uppity rich neighborhood. Not gonna lie, despite living right in the area, I venture to Charleston-proper maybe a half-dozen times per year. The places that aren't dangerous are instead too crowded (and the parking situation there is terrible). If I want a bite to eat or to catch a movie Mount Pleasant or North Charleston (which also has it's bad areas, but much farther away from the places you'd actually want to be) are better choices.

I will give Churches credit on their biscuits though. Not so much that I like them better than those at the other places - I actually like Bojangles best in the biscuits department - but the honey biscuits at Churches are at least different and something I enjoy on occasion.

Chic fil a is awsome. They are always busy. But they are still fast at getting you through the line.
