SuperMag Disassembly

Can anybody tell me how to remove the cylinder and crane from the frame. I am familiar with how S&W's come apart but not DW. I want to polish the inside of the chambers and it would be easier with the cylinder assembly off the revolver.

I don't have a Super Mag, but I do have a mid 1980's 44, I would think they would be the same. To remove the crane you have to remove the trigger assembly. There Is a screw in the right rear side of the frame, cock the hammer, remove the screw an screw it into the bottom of the mainspring. Tighten it until pressure is off the hammer. Drift out the hammer pivot pin, then depress the trigger latch at the back of the trigger guard. Pull slightly rearward and down on the trigger guard to remove it from the frame, then lift the hammer free of the frame. Open the cylinder and the crane lock should fall out, then pull the crane forward to remove it. I hope this helps.
