Iver Johnson Dealer Cut Away Model
« on: November 10, 2011, 04:41:25 PM »
Where would I find the value of an Iver Johnson factory cut-away revolver? I've never encountered one before. It's one of their top break pocket pistols with the transfer bar. Old but in pretty darn good condition. Nickle plated with some scatered, light surface rust.

Cleburne,
Speaking for myself, as an "advanced" (means crazy) collector of a "similar" family of firearms, the H&Rs - IF I were to come across something like this made by H&R (I haven't as yet), I would be will ing to pay up to around $500- $600 - DUE TO THE RARITY of the item. No experience, means no real world valuations.  I haven't seen nor heard of another IJ cut-away, either - so .......????????  Let's see some other opinions or experiences and see what comes up - I'm very interested in finding out, also.

Thanks, that helps. A friend has a group of handguns from her late husband. She's trying to sell them, but I wasn't sure what value to place on this particular piece. I appreciate the input.
