I have an idea but not the time or really the know how to do it but.  If someone were to cobble together a postal match for PP projectiles only, that might be a stimulating challenge.  I know the milsurp guys run them on different boards with good participation.  I guess you could stipulate a standard NRA target number or something that is sold a Walmart and set a distance and then group by cal?  Not sure.  Anyone here think this would have interest?  It might even pull in some cast bullet shooters.
It was just an idea I wish I could just get over the line and leave the daily salty mines behind and do this kind of thing  ;D.  JB

It seems I am coming here a bit late, but if this is still an active board someone will be looking for activity.

I'd like to start paper patching, for .44 mag, .45-70, and others.

Yes sir....here's a suggestion:

Separate paper patching into two forums because patching for BLACKPOWDER is another world from SMOKELESS patching!

Ah, we already have two rooms over on Cast Boolits. Not enough traffic here to even have one room. Sometimes I feel like everybody in the country who shoots paper patch bullets is over there and that's only a handful of people. There is a paper patch room over on the CBA site too, and it doesn't get any traffic either. The Shiloh site probably has the best black powder info from what I've seen.

I like the postal match idea. That would sure separate the real shooters from the poseurs! And maybe we'd all learn something in the process. I know I sure have a lot to learn after playing with paper patching for the last three years.

I will shoot a paper patched bullet postal match in standing, sitting, or prone position at 50, 100, or 200yd, but not bench rest.  Bench rest shooting boars me.

I like proposed paper patch match idea.  I will start one over at the boolit forum under the smokeless sub forum.  Gotta have something to do since I am on leave from work for an injury.

The plot thickens.  Common wealth versus the yanks.  Read the cross post for more details.
