I got to shoot the rem sat. It is set up with a 3x9 nikon scope.
I went to the range with 295 power belts, and 777 50 gr pellets. As i was getting on paper I loaded 2 pellets and the 295's, recoil was light but I was not inpressed with the grouping. I did not shoot a group per say but could tell by point of inpact changes dialed into the scope I would not be happy. I loaded 3 pellets ( I know hodgen say's load only 2) . What a differance recoil was stiff and quite sharp more importantly my first 3 round group was a clover leaf about 11/4 outside to outside group. Moved out to 200 shot a 3 shoot group, 21/4 out side to out side. I rezeroed 1/1/2 high at 75 yrd, I am 1" high at 25 yrds, 13/4 at high at 100 yrds and dead on at 200 using the point of the duplex vertical post as a aim point. There was some blowback (about the same as my t/c renegade)
not enough to be a problem, You have to rest the stock just in front of the action to get it to shoot well and make sure you don't put vertical pressure on the comb or pistol grip (all abs plastic stocks can be made to flex). I will glass bed and stiffin the stock at a later time. The trigger was about 6 lbs, the rifle shoots so well I will repace trigger with a after market trigger.
This rifle has blued steel and a camo stock (I have not seen them advertized like that ?) Over all I have to say its a keeper, (said by a guy who even shoot a new rem centerfire before sending in for a new barrel and chamber.)
any body care to guess what FPS I am shooting at?
Good shooting
